# Linkpeg Privacy Policy
**Effective date:** 8 September 2026
Linkpeg is made by APP DEV MASTERS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14989815). This policy explains what Linkpeg does with your information. The short version: Linkpeg does not collect, store or share any personal data. Everything you save stays on your Mac and, if you choose, in your own iCloud account.
## 1. What Linkpeg stores
Linkpeg stores the websites you save, along with the names, categories, colours, notes, tags and favourites you give them, and how often and when you open each one. This information is kept in a file inside the app's own container on your Mac. We never see it and it is never sent to us.
## 2. iCloud sync
If iCloud sync is turned on (it is on by default), Linkpeg keeps a copy of that file in your personal iCloud Drive so the same list appears on every Mac signed in to your Apple ID. This uses Apple's iCloud service under your Apple ID and is covered by Apple's privacy policy. APP DEV MASTERS LTD has no access to your iCloud data. You can turn sync off at any time in Linkpeg's settings, and you can remove the data by deleting Linkpeg's folder from iCloud Drive.
## 3. Connections Linkpeg makes to the internet
Linkpeg connects to the internet only for the following purposes, and only to the websites you have saved:
- **Website icons.** To show an icon next to each link, Linkpeg downloads the site's icon from that website. You can turn this off in settings.
- **Check Links.** When you choose Check Links, Linkpeg contacts each saved website to see whether it still responds.
- **Opening links.** Opening a link hands the address to your browser.
These requests go directly from your Mac to the website concerned. Those websites may record your IP address, as with any visit. Linkpeg does not route requests through any server of ours and does not contact any server operated by APP DEV MASTERS LTD.
## 4. Browser access
The "Add Current Browser Tab" feature asks your browser for the address and title of the tab you are viewing, so you can save it. macOS asks for your permission before Linkpeg can do this, and you can withdraw it at any time in System Settings under Privacy & Security, Automation. Linkpeg reads only the current tab and only when you use this feature. It does not read your browsing history.
## 5. What we do not do
- We do not collect analytics, usage statistics or crash reports.
- We do not use advertising or tracking of any kind.
- We do not create accounts or ask you to sign in.
- We do not sell, rent or share any information, because we have none.
## 6. Purchases
Linkpeg is sold through the Mac App Store. Apple handles the purchase and gives us no personal details about you. Apple's handling of purchase information is described in Apple's privacy policy.
## 7. Children
Linkpeg is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
## 8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including access, correction and erasure. Because Linkpeg gives us no personal data, there is nothing for us to provide, correct or erase; all of your data is on your own devices and in your own iCloud account, under your control. If you believe we hold personal data about you, or have any concern, contact us and we will respond promptly. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
## 9. Changes to this policy
If we change how Linkpeg handles information, we will update this policy and change the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
