# Terms of Service Last updated: August 5, 2026 ## 1. Agreement to Terms These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and APP DEV MASTERS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14989815) ("Company", "we", "us"), governing your use of the PeaceParent mobile application ("App"). By creating an account or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the App. ## 2. Eligibility You must be at least 16 years old to use PeaceParent. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. ## 3. Account Registration You must sign in using Sign in with Apple to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. You may only maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse the service may result in termination. ## 4. Description of Service PeaceParent is a co-parenting communication and coordination platform that provides: - A private shared space for two co-parents. - Structured messaging with categories (Schedule, Pickup, Info, Emergency). - A shared custody calendar with events and schedule change requests. - An activity log recording actions taken within the space. - Shared expenses and a handoff log. - Tone Guard, an on-device emotional language detection feature. - Push notifications with configurable quiet hours. - Daily Tips and a library of Practical Guides. - Optional AI features: writing help, Ask Advice, Create a Guide, and tip topics of your own. The App is designed to facilitate peaceful co-parenting communication. It is not a substitute for legal advice, mediation, or court orders. ## 5. Acceptable Use You agree to use PeaceParent only for its intended purpose of co-parenting communication. You must not: - Use the App to harass, threaten, abuse, or intimidate any person. - Send content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or harmful. - Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or accounts. - Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App. - Use the App for any commercial purpose other than personal co-parenting. - Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or other users' access. - Circumvent, disable, or tamper with security features of the App. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. ## 6. Subscriptions and Payments PeaceParent offers a premium subscription ("PeaceParent Premium") available as a monthly auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Prices are set in the App Store and may vary by region. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly. ## 7. Content and Data You retain ownership of the content you create and share through the App, including messages, events, and notes. By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to store, transmit, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service. Messages are encrypted on your device before transmission. We cannot access the content of encrypted messages stored on our servers. Co-parenting records (messages, events, activity logs) are designed to be immutable to maintain an accurate historical record. Sent messages cannot be edited or deleted. ## 8. Tone Guard Tone Guard is an on-device feature that analyses message tone before sending. It provides suggestions only and does not prevent you from sending any message. Tone Guard analysis is performed entirely on your device; message content is not sent to any server for analysis. Tone Guard is provided as a helpful tool and is not a guarantee of appropriate communication. We are not responsible for the content of messages you choose to send. ## 9. AI Features Some features use artificial intelligence to generate text: writing help, which suggests other ways to word a message you are drafting; Ask Advice, which suggests next steps for a situation you describe; Create a Guide, which writes a private guide on a topic you name; and tip topics of your own, for which tips are written for you. Each is optional and off until you use it. The first time you use one we explain what is sent and ask you to agree, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time in Settings. Writing help and the guidance features are agreed to separately. AI-generated text can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. It is suggestion, not instruction, and it is not legal, medical, therapeutic, or professional advice. It cannot assess anyone's safety. You are responsible for reading anything generated before you rely on it, and a suggestion becomes your message only if you choose it and send it. Nothing generated by these features is sent to your co-parent automatically, and no AI feature can send a message, change your calendar, or alter your data on its own. Curated tips and guides written by us are general information for separated parents. They are not advice about your circumstances and do not create a professional relationship of any kind. If anyone is at risk of harm, contact your local emergency services. The App is not an emergency service and cannot summon help. ## 10. Intellectual Property The App, including its design, code, features, and branding, is the intellectual property of APP DEV MASTERS LTD and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial co-parenting purposes in accordance with these Terms. ## 11. Disclaimers THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of Tone Guard analysis. PeaceParent is not a legal service. Nothing in the App constitutes legal advice. The App does not replace court orders, mediation agreements, or professional legal counsel. We are not responsible for any decisions made based on information displayed in the App. ## 12. Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, APP DEV MASTERS LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR DAMAGE TO RELATIONSHIPS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. ## 13. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless APP DEV MASTERS LTD, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights. ## 14. Termination You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. ## 15. Changes to These Terms We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated Terms within the App. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and delete your account. ## 16. Governing Law and Disputes These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence. ## 17. Severability If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. ## 18.
